Attending the California Conference for Women was an unforgettable experience! As the President of the Women in Computer Science Club at California State University Monterey Bay which is a Hispanic-Serving Institution, I’ve been deeply committed to creating opportunities for women in tech—whether by organizing our university’s first-ever hackathon (thanks to Google’s support!) or hosting workshops like hashtag#IAMRemarkable to empower women in STEM.

At the conference, I had the incredible honor of hearing from Jane Fonda, Brittney Griner, Padma Lakshmi, and Simone Biles. The privilege of hearing Simone Biles is one that stuck with me the most because she is one of my biggest role models! Her speech on power in unity and prioritizing mental health during the Olympics was truly inspiring. I also connected with phenomenal women at the Career Girls booth and with Rachel Ernst who has years of experience with HR and held a Leadership Coaching booth. I also was happy to see the work being done by Women of Impact from Notre Dame San Jose High School which gave me even more hope for the future of women in leadership!
This experience reinforced my belief that women belong in tech, in leadership, and in every space where decisions are made. I’m excited to bring back new strategies to increase female representation in STEM, especially in underrepresented areas.
Here’s to empowering more women, fostering inclusion, and driving change in tech and beyond! 💪💡 hashtag#WomenInTech hashtag#CaliforniaConferenceForWomen hashtag#Leadership hashtag#Inclusion
