First WiCS x ChatGPT Event at California State University, Monterey Bay! 🎉

As the ChatGPT Ambassador and President of the Women in Computer Science Club at California State University, Monterey Bay, I’m thrilled to share that we hosted our first ever ChatGPT Mini Hackathon with free cookies, hot chocolate and tons of college swag! 🍪☕

During this event, students explored new ChatGPT EDU features through a guided slideshow and interactive demos. We covered how to use and prompt ChatGPT effectively, then dove into creating custom GPTs which are personalized AI tools built by combining instructions, knowledge, and relevant files for specific tasks.

Participants worked in small groups during a hands on workshop to design workflows, prompt chains, or example outputs that showcased how AI can simplify everyday student life.

These students built creative and practical AI solutions that reflect how ChatGPT can be tailored to help with struggles students deal with everyday!
