Day 4 of AFROTECH was packed with more resume reviews and incredible conversations that made my trip to Houston, Texas truly worth it!

Invesco US: Met Nadim Sammur, PSM, PSPO and had a great talk about opportunities and growth within the company.

World Wide Technology: Chatted with Jeffrey Rector COL (R), his humor made the conversation both fun and insightful.

Paycom: Met Christian Idell, who reviewed my resume and shared what it’s like living in their Ohio community, which is tight-knit but traffic-filled!

Audible: Spoke with Lauren Estrada about a day in the life of a product manager, a career path I’ve been exploring recently. Hearing her perspective was inspiring.

Bloomberg: The most unexpected part of my day, running into Terrence Crossdale, my former interviewer! It was such a pleasant surprise to see him in person after our positive interview experience as a Bloomberg Tech Insights Program participant 

Bayer: Had a resume review with Jabbar Stackston, PhD, who gave valuable advice on answering “Tell me about yourself”, which is to focus on what others would say about you when you’re not in the room.

F5: Connected with Logan Munoz, an engineer who gave me great insights into what it’s like working in the industry!
